Yoga is a Key Element in Your Journey
To most people in the US, yoga is a set of stretchy, upside-down, seemingly impossible movements that take place on a yoga mat, but what if I told you all those postures are only about 12% of what yoga is?! There are 8 limbs of yoga, of which one of those IS the physical posture, but yoga is also Breathwork, Tools for Concentration, Focus & Being Present, Learning to Lessen the Effects of Sensory Overload, and even HOW we treat ourselves! It is a path that is designed to bring UNION (which is the actual translation of “yoga”) and HARMONY between our mind, our body, and our spirit, so that we can live lives that are vibrant and whole.
Through yoga coaching, you will learn about intentional movement that is right for YOUR body. But you will also learn that yoga teaches us to actively move our bodies from a place of compassion and acceptance, not from feelings of hate or contempt for our physical appearance. You will quickly find that habits established from a place of acceptance and love are much easier to maintain than those that come from a place of hate.
Yoga will most definitely stretch you physically, but even more than that, it will stretch you emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. The best part is that you don’t have to get flexible before starting yoga; all that is required is that you show up.
